Hello! My name is Julia Maher. I am a full-time student at SUNY Plattsburgh, I have dedicated my summers to dentistry, working as a dental assistant since 2018. Growing up around dentistry for my whole life sparked my interest in pursuing dentistry from a young age, and starting as an assistant was a way to begin my journey.
I am fortunate to assist Dr. Szmigiel and Dr. Roberts, they taught me invaluable lessons about compassion and empathy through the experiences learned at Gentle Touch. Learning from their vast experience and preparing myself for the challenges of dental school, I am deeply committed to ensuring patient comfort and building trust, making the experience as pleasant and reassuring as possible.
In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, going on hikes with my dog, Leo, creating ceramics, sewing and mending clothes, working out, and cooking!
