I was probably eight when I decided I wanted to work in the dental field. I had the most kind and caring Dental Hygienist, "Miss Kim", who made going to the Dentist fun for me. It was always very apparent how much she loved her job and cared about her patients. Despite my age, I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do when I grew up. I've been a Dental Assistant for a year now and I couldn't be happier to work for two of the most compassionate and kind-hearted doctors I've ever met. I have learned so much about Dentistry from both Dr. Szmigiel and Dr. Marjan in the short amount of time I've been with the office. Being the baby in the office certainly has it's perks as well; I am constantly going to the other girls with questions and they have happily become my mentors.
Outside of the dental world, and when I'm not waitressing, I like to spend time with my boyfriend, and our 2 babies. We have a 6 year old Husky/Shepherd mix, Meiko, and a 10 week old German Shepherd, Trigger, who keep us very busy. The four of us like to indulge in all that the North Country has to offer, mostly fishing or kayaking on the lake in the summers. All of that might make me sound like an outdoorswoman, but to set the record straight I also have racked up frequent flyer miles at Target and have an online shopping addiction, which I share with a few others at Gentle Touch Family Dentistry, that I won't name.
